Prism Register
Our Spectrum meters accurately and reliably track water usage, but there needs to be a way to record that data and transfer it into the cloud for WaterScope™. That’s where our Prism register (also called a monitor) comes in. Fully digital and able to operate without interruption for over 20 years, the Prism connects automatically to the cellular network to upload water consumption data.
The Prism is compatible with all of Metron’s Spectrum meters* providing a common operational interface and data format. In most cases, Prism connects to Verizon™’s cellular network, though other networks can be used depending on coverage at the deployment location. Cellular connectivity means you’ll have no manual reads and no drive-bys.
*Except for the ultrasonic meter which has an integral register.
Measure for Measure
The Prism’s units of measure can be set at installation time:
- Gallons
- Cubic feet
- Cubic meters
Designed for Reliability
- Fully weatherproof and waterproof
- Stores data in case of missed reads
- Choice of cable attached antennae available, e.g. for pit covers

Prism EXT
The Prism EXT uses a sophisticated magnetic sensor to capture water flow information from third-party meters. This allows a property manager to see consumption data (using WaterScope) in cases where the meter’s existing register is in use by the water utility.
